Anther trucker seems appears to be counting his blessings this week after his truck reportedly took fire while travelling a Georgia highway Saturday night.
According to a Facebook post, an unidentified tanker driver hauling a full load of gasoline was travelling down Bobby Jones Expressway in Augusta, Georgia when his truck came under fire, with the bullets narrowly missing the driver.
Photos show that at least one bullet was fired and went through the front windshield, narrowly missing the driver, went through the back window and then struck the fully loaded gas tanker.
According to the post, the shooter was believed to be firing from an overpass on Bobby Jones Expressway and Hwy. 56.
Earlier this month, another trucker was shot at while travelling on Interstate 70 in Ohio.
Police have also caught someone shooting at vehicles on Interstate 95 in Connecticut, and a driver with a concealed carry permit, shot and killed a subject who was shooting at vehicles while walking down the interstate.
The original poster of the tanker shooting ended his post with the following comment summing up the fear that all truckers are facing on the road. “I drive a gas truck for a local company and this has all of us mad as hell and our families worried. Please pray that they find who did this.”
