Today in Beverly Hills, supporters of President Trump held a very large rally and march. Fox 11 of LA has claimed that the gathering has been declared unlawful. There was a declaration earlier in the day; however that declaration was made after a large group of Antifa types in black bloc clothing marched into the area in an attempt to disrupt the Trump rally.
The gathering was declared unlawful after the group repeatedly refused orders to get out of the street and a single Trump supporter was physically attacked by nearly a dozen black-bloc protesters after he attempted to stop one of the Antifa members from stealing his American flag. His brutal attack was caught online and quickly went viral.
The group of Antifa then left the area with police following closely behind. The Trump rally continued on without any further police contact.
Fox 11 faced criticism online after publishing a completely inaccurate article, insinuating that it was the Trump rally that was unlawful to which they changed the title of the article, and amended the article to include a “fight” between a Trump supporter and a “counter-protester,” completely ingoring the fact that it was a group of Antifa. They also implied in their article that it was a “fight.” it was anything but that. Look at the video above.
“Police have issued an “unlawful assembly” advisory near the Beverly Hills sign as supporters of President Donald Trump have gathered in the area Saturday afternoon.” the article states.
“The Beverly Hills Police Department issued the advisory a little before 2:45 p.m. Police warned the public that the gathering is impacting traffic.”
The article continues by saying that one of their reporters drove by the location and saw numerous vehicles of Trump supporters in the area and that there were also two groups of police staged in the area.
Anyone who was not watching the events unfold but merely reading the article would assume that a large group of Trump supporters was causing trouble. When, in fact, this is not the case. Truth in reporting means that all of the facts and not just some of the facts should matter. Painting a picture for the reader by omitting details is not journalism.
At the time of publication, the Trump rally was still taking place and lawful. Watch it live by clicking here
