Biden on Visiting Ariz. And Not the Border: ‘There’s More Important Things Going On’ than Border Crisis
On a very wet and rainy Tuesday morning in Washington D.C., President Joe Biden was asked how he could visit Arizona today and not visit the border. His reply was, “There are more important things going on. They’re going to invest millions of dollars in a new enterprise.”
Are there more important things going on?
The border crisis continues to worsen by the hour as thousands of illegal aliens continue to pour through our very weak and porous border with Mexico.
The U.S. Customs and Border Agency operates with a fiscal year that begins in October, and the number of encounters is reported once a month.
That said, the first month of reporting for the 2023 fiscal year was reported in November, and in the month of October, there were over 230 thousand encounters at the southern border. That number does not include got-a-ways or those that eluded law enforcement.

Daily, drugs are intercepted at our southern border with record-breaking numbers. One has to ask them self, if record-breaking drug seizures are happening, how much is getting through and finding its way into the streets of our country?
The cartels push drugs through by every means possible with the understanding that some will be intercepted. It is an acceptable loss for them because, for every drug shipment that is discovered, an untold number are getting through.
When is the crisis at the southern border important, Mr. President?
