In an insane video posted on social media, an ABF day-cab pulling doubles in seen barreling down Interstate 95 with a man clinging to his hood.
The video, which was posted sometime Saturday and quickly went viral, shows the semi trailer attempting to shake the man clinging to his truck off. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, dispatchers received several calls about a man who was traveling southbound on the Florida turnpike when he suddenly pulled off the road.
The driver exited the vehicle covered in blood and ran over to Interstate where he attempted to slow down traffic according to the trucker. The driver stopped to check on the driver’s well-being and that is when the man apparently jumped on to the hood of the truck and began hitting the truck’s windshield.
The trucker, identified as Edward Hughes told TMZ that he stepped on the gas in an effort to get the man off his truck. In the video, you can see Hughes turning the steering wheel side to side, and break-checking his semi in an effort to get the driver off.
The man was apparently stuck to the semi for nearly nine miles before police were able to locate and pull over the truck. The video below captures the moment a highway patrol officer pulls the crazed man off the truck.
Police arrested the man and transported him to the hospital for observation. It is unclear if any charges will be filed. ABF Freight issued a statement via Twitter late Saturday acknowledging the incident and confirmed that their driver was unharmed in the crazy incident.
