BREAKING NEWS: Drivers reporting fuel cards are not working in Nationwide outage (with video) UPDATED

Drivers are beginning to report their fuel cards seem to be coming back online after being unable to purchase fuel intermittently through the night. Drivers on social media are stating fuel cards started coming back online around 0830 est this morning.

According to several drivers online, Wex/EFS Fleet One fuel cards have experienced a server outage and most of its fuel card products are down leaving drivers stranded at diesel pumps nationwide.

While first reports started coming out last night, it seemed initially like it was an isolated incident. As the night went on more drivers commented via social media about the outage. 

One truckstop employee said the following fuelcard products are down: EFS, TCH Money Codes, Fleet One, CFN Cards, T-Check (cards and express codes) J.B. Hunt Fuel Cards and Multi Service.  The employee reported all Comdata and Fuelman products are working as they should.

Company owners this morning are expressing their concerns with what the shutdown may mean for them ” Makes it really hard to make on time deliveries when your source for fuel doesn’t work … But hey it will be the drivers fault somehow,” said one anonymous carrier in a message to Freight Broker Live.

Other messages from readers say that while they are able to fuel, they are unable to login to their accounts

The WEX brand EFS fuel cards are the most widely used fuel cards for truckers and fleets in the United States. Their automated call in line says “we are currently experiencing system issues affecting our ability to authorize transactions”. There have yet to be any official updates from WEX on when the systems will be up
