BREAKING: TX National Guard Member Missing in Eagle Pass While Attempting Rescue of Illegal Migrants

Conflicting reports coming from Eagle Pass as authorities search for a missing Texas National Guardsman who was in the Rio Grande attempting to rescue an illegal migrant who was in distress in the strong current.

A body has been recovered, and while it was first reported to be the body of the Guardsman, it is now believed that the body recovered is that of the illegal migrant.

The missing soldier reportedly never resurfaced, and officials are still considering the incident a drowning.

According to Fox News, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) confirmed the incident occurred near Eagle Pass and said that a body has been recovered.
