Chicken thief caught in OH
A Georgia trucker was arrested Tuesday in Harrison, Ohio on an outstanding warrant for allegedly illegally stealing and selling a load of chicken rather than make his delivery.
Thomas Derwin Blair, 58, is charged with theft of cargo greater than $200,000, which is a felony. According to reports, Dallas investigators accuse Blair of stealing 22 pallets of chichen, of which he was hired to transport, and selling some or all of it to another person rather than completing his delivery.
Harrison police reportedly approached Blair as he was parked in his Freightliner on the side of Interstate 74 around 3 p.m. Tuesday. After identifying him, officers discovered he was wanted for the chicken theft.
He is currently being held in the local county jail waiting for extradition back to Texas.Key takeaway: The chicken may cross the road, but NOBODY crosses the chicken.
