CNBC’s Kernen to W.H.’s Boushey: You Have to Acknowledge that We Just Got Back to What We Had Before the Pandemic on Jobs
Peter Doocy is Going to be a Father
CNBC’s Joe Kernen had Biden Administration economic advisor Heather Boushey on to talk about the economic recovery, post-pandemic and Kernen questioned Boushey over the White House touting job gains that, in reality, were just workers going back to work after the pandemic wrecked the job market.
Kernen was just not buying the rosy picture that the White House continues to try and sell when it comes to the economy.
“If you’re going to blame everything on the pandemic for inflation, you have to acknowledge that reopening after the pandemic is why we just got back to basically the job we had before the pandemic, the 10 million just got us back to even.,” Kernen stated.
Boushey does not deny the claim, and instead, she claims that the work that the White House has done on jobs has created a more “resilient” workforce that would not suffer as it did during the pandemic.
