Coyote Logistics, a wholly owned subsidiary of UPS laid off the carrier sales representatives in its Chattanooga office, sources revealed to Freight Broker Live. It was later learned that in addition to the 20-30 reportedly laid off in Chattanooga, 30 workers in the Chicago office were also cut.
Coyote Logistics was acquired by UPS in 2015 for $1.8 billion and has has massive growth since then with reported revenue of around $4 billion in 2019.
With recent layoffs in brokerage, trucking and freight tech sectors, it is causing some to wonder; is it only going to get worse?
