DAT Solutions, the nation’s largest and well known load board and rate analytics software informed clients via email that they did not have to worry about the software price increases announced suddenly last month, suspending the increases while we all “work through theses unprecedented times together.”
Early last month, DAT sent emails out to it’s broker and carrier customers informing of price increases and attributing the rise in the monthly prices due to increasing costs having to do “significant investments” in regards to new improvement and feature offering, including the development of highly anticipated predictive rating and analytics suite. The sudden increase in price, in addition to social media reporting of vastly different per customer increases caused some panic.
DAT issued a brief statement confirming the reason behind the rate increase and possible differences in prices stating “Along with our annual price increase, select promotions also came to an end. The differences in price increases from one customer to the next are due to differences in packages, the number of users, plus additional features.
In the most recent email notifying customers of the suspension DAT wrote “given the unprecedented economic disruption caused by the Covid-19 crisis, we are suspending the annual price increase scheduled for this month. As such, your pricing for current services will remain unchanged while we work through these unprecedented times together.”
