
Female trucker escapes after failed kidnapping attempt
Two men from Santa Maria, California are in jail after they allegedly tried to kidnap a female truck driver.
On Sunday, June 7th, two men attempted to kidnap a female truck driver at knife point in Maricopa, C.A., telling the truck driver to drive them to Bakersfield. According to various reporting, the driver reportedly entered her truck and managed to drive away without suffering any injuries.
The quick thinking trucker called the sheriffs office to report the alleged abduction. Investigators with the Kern County Sheriff’s office were able to locate and arrest the two men, Moses Abeytia, 20, and Feliciano Ramirez, 21, for the alleged kidnapping attempt.
Although both suspects reportedly refused to give their name, or gave a fake name to the police. Both men were later identified and police discovered they both were wanted for an attempted murder charge by the Santa Maria Police Department.
