Intermodal conference added to the list of canceled expo’s
The Intermodal Association of North America has been added to the growing list of cancelled conferences and expo’s due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A message posted on their website broke the news:
The impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic continue and remain unknown for the foreseeable future. Keeping the health and safety of its members, exhibitors, attendees and staff in mind, IANA has decided to cancel the 2020 Intermodal EXPO. EXPO is the signature event that gathers the intermodal freight supply chain together for networking and education, and to feature the products and services that move our industry forward. This decision was not easy to make but we recognize that holding the event, given all the uncertainties, would have been a major challenge to overcome.
Although EXPO has been cancelled for this year, IANA knows that The Business of Intermodal Continues, and has planned a robust schedule of educational webinars, virtual panel discussions, market updates, and industry leader interviews for the remainder of 2020. The next Intermodal EXPO will be held September 12–14, 2021, in Long Beach, California, and we look forward to welcoming you back then to the only event of its kind.
