Today, the Multnomah County Republican Party (MCRP) issued a press release critizing US Congressman for supporting Riot Ribs, the pop-up kitchen that appeared in one of the parks across the federal courthouse.
According to a recent interview between independent street journalist Villain Phoenix, and a man named Lorenzo, the purported founder of the street-kitchen Riot Ribs, the group of street cooks were able to raise $600,000 to feed the nightly protesters-turned rioters during their 63 day long assault on the City of Portland.
In the interview, Lorenzo tells Villain Phoenix that after receiving a donation from U.S. Congressman Earl Blumenhauer, and a public tweet by the Congressman, donations to the group flourished.
“He donated and told his friends to so we made….we got $600,000,” Lorenzo told Villain Phoenix in the interview. Since the donations, the original Riot Ribs has closed down in the park due to increased violence between protesters and an impostor who is “stealing donations.” Lorenzo says Riot Ribs has plans to expand the street kitchen into cities across the country in the coming weeks.
The MCRP says that if the story is true, they condemn the democratic congressman’s financial support of rioters in Portland and urge his constituents to vote for his opponent in the next election.
“This incident is just one more piece of evidence that the rioters in Portland should be viewed as the flying monkeys of the criminal gang called the Democratic Party that runs Portland,” said Party Chair James Buchal. “We previously saw a public statement by the Congressman in support of another riot-related entity, Cider-Riot, and watched as Mayor Ted Wheeler tweeted his condolences when an Antifa member was gunned down near Cider Riot. Now we hear of alleged direct financial support.”
The MCRP also asks the “so-called professional media of Portland” to follow up on Villain Phoenix’s work and investigate how exactly the rioter-feeding enterprise was able to raise over half a million dollars in financial support.
Lastly, the MCRP says they hope that Lorenzo, who appears to be a well-known figurehead in the area, along with other members of the black community in Portland will continue to speak out against radical Antifa members who have hijacked legitimate concerns about police accountability.
(Note: Villain Phoenix was recently attacked and had much of his camera gear stolen during a “peaceful” riot in Portland. He has set up a GoFundMe to raise funds to replace his gear and keep reporting on what is really going on in Portland and across the country. You can contribute here.)
