
UPDATED: Pennsylvania Police Chief shot and killed, officer injured; suspect in killed
UPDATE: Police said Tuesday that Brackenridge Police Chief Justin McIntire was ambushed by suspect Aaron Lamont Swan Jr. when he shot and killed Mclintre and injured a Tarentum officer.
The suspect, 28-year-old Aaron Lamont Swan Jr., was shot and killed by Pittsburgh police around 7 p.m. near the intersection of Brushton Avenue and Mohler Street, Allegheny County police said.
Swan was wanted on a probation violation.

BRACKENRIDGE, Pennsylvania – Local news outlets are reporting that one police officer is dead, and another is injured after a shooting in Brackenridge, Pennsylvania on Monday. A manhunt is currently underway to locate the person they say is responsible.
KDKA is reporting that sources are confirming that the officer that was killed is Brackenridge Police Chief Justin McIntire.
Police are at the scene near 6th Avenue and Morgan Street on Monday in the Allegheny County borough.
Police have put out a “be on the lookout” alert for the suspect’s vehicle, a silver 2014 Subaru Legacy with license plate GMA8620. The suspect is at large.
