A Tennessee police officer was shot when a suspect armed with two long guns opened fire on his cruiser on Monday night.
A Hendersonville police officer suffered “non-critical” injuries after being shot Monday night in Madison TN, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
Police say 34-year-old Samuel Quinton Edwards led police on a chase through Madison Friday night before shooting into at least one officer’s vehicle, striking the officer. Edwards then fled the scene on foot. Surveillance video captured an image believed to be Edwards running carrying two long guns.
Police say Edwards then stole a truck with the keys inside and fled. Police found that truck abandoned early Tuesday morning.
Via Facebook, the City of Millerville Police Department asked people to be vigilant as Edwards is still on the loose. Police say Edwards is 5′ 11″ and 160lbs. He is considered armed and dangerous.
