Police seek trucker accused of deadly hit and run
Oklahoma Highway Patrol are asking for the public’s help in locating a trucker involved in a deadly hit and run which claimed the life of a man who had broken down.
OHP says that 55-year-old John Rabe of Greenwood, Arkansas was traveling on Interstate 40 on Saturday, July 18th when he had a flat tire on his 1977 Cherolet truck. Rabe pulled over just north of Moffet and exited his vehicle to change the tire.
This is when OHP says that both Rabe and his truck were then struck by a passing truck. Police say the semi truck may have damage to the right front or the tractor and/or right side of the trailer.
It continued to travel east into Arkansas on I-40. This is a photo of the actual semi after it struck the man.
OHP is still seeking the semi and driver. Anyone with information can call the NE Region Communications Center at 918-627-0440.
