Portland Antifa pour accelerant in a Starbucks in an arson attempt
After a night full of property damage, officers in Portland prevented an arson of a local Starbucks.
In a tweet from Multnomah County Sherriff’s in which they announced that the gathering of protestors dressed in black bloc, was an unlawful assembly, they wrote, “At 9 pm, individuals participating in a march from Director Park arrived at the PSU Public Safety Office. Some individuals broke windows to the Public Safety Office, and then turned their attention to the Starbucks 1717 SW Park”
They then followed with, “Individuals smashed windows and poured flammable liquid inside the business. Officers interrupted a potential arson. This gathering is still declared an unlawful assembly due to criminal activity occurring. Disperse to the south and west.”
A live streamer caught part of the incident on video. In the video, an officer can be heard stating that the liquid was kerosene.
The streamer pointed out the fact that the adjacent property was a large highrise apartment complex, to which an unidentified person could be heard saying, “300 apartments.”
