A truck driver has been arrested and charged with running over three workers who were striking outside of the company Strippit, according to Akron, New York police.
The details of the story first on local NY news site, WKBW this all occurred shortly before 8 am this morning, when a truck driver, drove through a picket line hitting three people. Video released by a local reporter, Hannah Buehler posted on Twitter shows the truck running through the picket line, striking several people, and continuing into the warehouse complex.
One man can be seen on the hood of the vehicle and another fell from the truck and can be seen on the ground as the truck passes by.
The striking workers, who are represented by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers who along with 32 others began their strike Monday, February 3rd, 2020 at the Akron business which manufactures punch presses, a type of machine press used for forming and cutting material.
The three workers were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The driver had his truck impounded and is facing reckless endangerment charges, according to the article.
