
Trucker pulled over for driving high while co-driver possibly OD’s in sleeper

A Georgia driver and his co-driver were arrested in Indiana on Valentines Day after Indiana State Police received numerous phone calls of a semi-truck driving erratically down Interstate 65.
Reports started flooding in around 7 a.m. on February 14th, 2020 as witnesses reported the semi was all over the road, stopping on the interstate and then continuing on. Trooper Jonathan Cain responded and was able to locate the truck and pull it over.
As Trooper Cain interviewed the driver, 56-year old James Robert Whitlock, he observed suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain view in the truck. Upon further investigation the Trooper discovered the female co-driver, 29-year old Alicia Ann Gaylor, in the sleeper berth and unresponsive. Officers tried to wake her, and attempted to administer Narcan, at which time she woke up.
During a search of the truck, officers located alcohol, marijuana, various meth pipes and Methamphetamine.
Whitlock was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated, OWI, controlled substance, possession of a handgun with a prior felony conviction, Possession of Meth and possession of Marijuana. Gaylor was charged with Possession of Meth and Possession of Paraphernalia.
