A new poll from the trucking site CDLLife.com shows that truckers are not on-board with the current push to defund the Nation’s police departments. In fact, a new poll from the group which surveyed truckers shows that 3 out of 4 truckers say that they will not deliver to cities that make the decision to defund their police departments.
Trucking ranks consistently as one of the most dangerous jobs nationwide, labor statistics show. In recent weeks, it seems that the already dangerous job is even more dangerous as truckers have reported encountering “peaceful protesters” who have actively blocked interstates, looted trucks and physically attacked truckers who were simply doing there jobs.
According to CDLLife, 77% of drivers surveyed say they will refuse loads to cities with disbanded or defunded police departments.
As many cities are starting the process to defund police (Minneapolis), or even worse, lose portions of their cities (Seattle) to armed, or as others in the media say “peaceful” factions, truckers seem to be left wondering what is next for them.
