Tulsa police looking for suspect who attempted to rob, and then ran over trucker

Tulsa police are searching for a suspect who allegedly attempted to rob a trucker’s cargo, and when the driver tried to stop him, he ran over the driver.

According to local media reporting from NewsChannel 8, Tulsa police say a trucker was parked along the side of a road when a vehicle pulled alongside the truck. The driver of the vehicle reportedly exited his vehicle and attempted to steal something from the truck.

The trucker noticed this and tried to block in the driver from fleeing by standing in front of the vehicle. The driver hit the trucker, sending the trucker through the car’s windshield and onto the lap of a female passenger as the driver sped across a field. The driver eventually exited the vehicle and fled on foot.

The trucker and the female passenger were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the report.
