
Woman arrested at NY border, Suspected of sending ricin-laced letters to Trump and TX lawman
The sheriff of a Texas border county announced via Twitter that he and three of his staff were targeted with a deadly toxin.
According to Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra, envelopes with ricin was mailed to him and three detention staff. Because of the ongoing federal investigation, sheriff Guerra said he could not make any further comments.
Federal officials arrested an unidentified woman at the Canadian border in New York suspected of sending ricin laced envelopes to several law-enforcement officials in Texas along with a package addressed to President Trump, which was intercepted at an off-site screening location last week
According to CBS News, Canadian officials say there is a current police investigation at a home in St-Hubert, Quebec which is connected to the letter sent to the White House as well as the TX law enforcement officials.
While the home in connected to the woman arrested at the NY/Canada border earlier today, they are not identifying the woman, or revealing whether she is a US or Canadian citizen.
